Die USA sind eine Union aus 50 Staaten, wovon 48 zusammenhängend sind und 2 (Alaska, Hawaii) 'ausgelagert' sind. Dazu kommen noch Gebiete, die einen Sonderstatus haben: Washington D.C. und die US Territorien, zu denen Puerto Rico, die US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam und Northern Mariana Islands gehören.

The USA is a union out of 50 states, 48 of them are territoral together and 2 of them (Alaska, Hawaii) are seperate. There are also territories with a special status, like Washington D.C. and the US Territories, like Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and Northern Mariana.

Die Sommerzeit/The summer time
Sommerzeit in den USA ist vom 1. Sonntag im April bis zum letzten Sonntag im Oktober. Nur Arizona, Indiana und Hawaii haben keine Sommerzeit. Arizona passt sich im Sommer der Pacific Time an, hat also die gleiche Zeit wie z.B. Kalifornien.

The summer time in the USA starts on the first sunday in April and ends on the first sunday in October. Only Arizona, Indiana and Hawaii do not have the summer time changes. Arizona has the same time as e. g. California during summer because the time matches with the Pacific Time.
